Fronting Lave Cover River, this iconic sandstone heritage workers cottage is to receive a new lease on life. The internal layout of the cottage will be updated to accomodate a large kitchen, formal living and dining room as well as a large master suite, which will include a walk in robe and bathroom overlooking the water. Two rear pavilions, connected by an open frame colonnade to the existing residence, will provide a new double garage and guest wing in one and three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study and a second living room in the other.

The new rear pavilions are designed to complement and not detract from the existing sandstone cottage and beautiful craftsmanship of the 1900's, through the proposal of a clean and modern form. Aiding in the endeavour to blend; it is unassuming, with the lighter colours of the new addition providing a contrast to the existing aged sandstone walls and slate roof of the workers cottage.
